It's been awhile

So--where have I been? I don't know--just busy with life I suppose. It was awesome to have a long weekend for Labor Day!
I got quite a scare Saturday night listening to the Arkansas Razorback Game. I was so worried; I just had to turn it off and go hang out with the neighbors. The boys played Rock Band and the girls just talked & enjoyed a bottle of wine. Later, Bret broke out his "real" guitar and graced us with his music. GREAT! Later that night I asked Jon to check the final score and he told me we lost 17-14. I was so bummed! All day Sunday, I just worried that this was going to be the worst season EVER. Then our friend, Jeremy, stopped by and congratulated me on our win (since VT lost). I said "Jeremy, don't play jokes on me with stuff like that--we lost." On and on we argued until finally we looked up the score on-line and saw that Arkansas WON! So excited--I jumped up and down in the kitchen then went and yelled at Jon for telling me the wrong score. Whew! Let's just hope next weeks' game against ULM won't be as close and/or as scary.
Jon leaves for Iowa for work this Friday. It will be nice to have the house to myself for a few days. The laundry certainly won't pile up as fast.

Chrystal & I

1st blog

This weekend was GREAT! It seems like every weekend goes by so fast but finally I had a weekend that I felt was just right. Jon and I are so lucky to have such great neighbors (Chrystal & Bret) who we've become awesome friends with. We spent Friday night at their house rockin' out playing Rock Band and planning our trip to Sandals in April 2009. I can't wait!!!!
Saturday we ventured to McCoy, VA for a ride on the New River; tube style! It's so nice how you can rent a "cooler tube" and just sit back, relax, and drink your way down the river. No pictures since my camera and water don't mix well.
Today was a day to catch up on laundry and running a few errands. I tried a new recipe for dinner, Grilled Pork Tenderloin & Pineapple. So good!!! It seems like for every 4 new recipes I try only 1 of them is worth repeating. This will be one I'll do again.
We ended the weekend with a friendly game of "Corn Hole" with Chrystal & Bret. Boys against girls. Us girls lost twice! : ( We've got some practicing to do.
Back to work tomorrow. Let's hope it's a great week!
